This is a flower that bloomed in the Fall in very cold weather. This year it bloomed in the Spring! Anyone out there know its name or anything about it? I'd love to get another one!

    I think the plant you have pictured above is the blanket flower or some variety of it. It's botanical name is Gaillardia Aristata, Grandiflora


    They are perennials that are related to Sunflowers, Daisies, and Asters. They are native wildflowers to central United States and Canada. They are drought tolerant and attract butterflies! They make great cut flowers and bloom from early summer to fall if faded flowers are deadheaded.

    It was nicknamed blanket flower, because they would "blanket" the fields in blooms!

    Probably more than you wanted to know -----but you asked! lol!
